Three Noble Principles

March 29, 2012 in lifestyle

good in the beginning
– arousing bodhichitta as a skillful means to ensure that your practice becomes a source of merit for the future
good in the middle
– maintaining the view of the nature of mind, the attitude of non-grasping, free from conceptualization,
that secures the practice so that the merit cannot be destroyed by circumstances
good in the end
– sealing the practice properly by dedicating the merit, which will ensure that it continually grows ever greater

Inner Wealth.

March 16, 2012 in personal welness, TYU

Who doesn’t want to be wealthy?

On every occasion we  wish each other health and wealth meaning that they are crucial components of happiness. But I doubt we think about inner wealth very often. Today I want to remind you  about it  as I believe that by creating an inner wealth consciousness – concentrating on who we are instead of what we own, we can transcend the ups and downs that life may deal us from time to time, and enjoy the fruits of life’s richness to its fullest.

Inner wealth is inner self and what allows us to reconcile individual self-discovery in meeting daily external trauma as well as good fortune. It’s an internal barometer for reminding us of just how rich we are or perhaps can be. When we approach life with a sense of abundance, we’re free to share and receive. There is always something to be thankful for and there is always something left in the tank to give.

Inner wealth is an accumulation of every thought and feeling we own. It is a state of our minds. Only we can add or subtract thoughts and feelings that impact how we feel. Inner wealth can be triggered by outside sources and if we pay close attention to what makes us feel “full” in life we begin to recognize a pattern that suits us, and calls to us. Patterns in our life, like nature, need to be explored, not ignored. We have to remember to ask ourselves why something feels good and try to duplicate the feeling.

Inner wealth is not the absence of poverty but rather the acknowledgement. By recognizing what’s wrong, or poor-in-spirit thinking, we generate a power that is able to overcome its effect. And the power is permanent and is unlimited in its ability to draw whatever we need to be whatever we want.

Our internal reservoir that holds our personal riches is always full, never without and always available to use however we wish. Remember though, it’s not be careful what you wish for, but rather be mindful what you wish for – you just might get it.

Expectations

March 8, 2012 in TYU

When what we expect doesn’t happen yet we keep expecting it to happen and we become locked into a result that may never happen.

Expecting something to happen based on personal knowledge, observation or analysis can be desapointed. Expecting something to happen because someone told you that it would happen can be  even risky.

The point is that something ALWAYS happens, but it just might not be what you expected. Whenever we hold on to one scenario too tightly or too long, we become rigid and block out all of the other possibilities. Setting expectations is okay; it’s human and normal to assume certain things will come to pass, but life has the option of sending disappointment instead of joy, sending black instead of white, a boy instead of a girl or a loss instead of a win. And how we react to what’s delivered is the key to how our lives will unfold.

When expectations don’t materialize, we have choices. But if we become so attached to what we want instead of what we have, we may miss life’s next delivery, which may be greater than we could ever expect, dream or pray for. I believe that the Universe will deliver what we seek, but it expects us to be paying attention to everything that comes our way, because only then will we be open enough to accept the way-better version of what we thought we wanted to begin with.

Whatever you’re waiting for is waiting for you to see that it’s already here.

Dedicating Merit

December 16, 2011 in gratitude

In the Buddhist tradition there is a practice of “dedicating merit” that is both beautiful and useful to the healing practitioner or spiritual seeker, regardless of what faith they follow personally. It goes hand-in-hand with notions of karma, or cause and effect, as each act performed (either consciously or subconsciously) has an equal effect in both the personal microcosm and the universal macrocosm. Obviously like breeds like, so auspicious deeds create positive energy, while inauspicious ones breed more complicated and troublesome energy.

The practice of dedicating merit is one undertaken at the conclusion of any spiritual or otherwise conscious acts of positivity. The time immediately following an uplifting or enlightening experience is the perfect time to send forth waves of gratitude, loving-kindness, and healing to others in need, as one is feeling particularly full of positive energy and in the mood to give and share selflessly. These windows in time are few and far between for many of us in our busy lives, so it is important to remember to take the time to share our good fortune and positivity, our merit, with others when we are able to give selflessly.

Many in the healing and spiritual communities regularly take time to send positive healing energy out to those in need, or to the Earth, or to the Universe as a whole – and this is an extremely important practice in our current times and global situation. However, it does not occur to many to share the energy of their personal experiences with the All. Implementing such a practice into one’s healing work or spiritual discipline can be a wonderful way to more continuously aid others.

Love is Always Possible by Susan Piver

May 11, 2011 in TYU

I’ll try to keep myself open up to you.

That’s a promise that I made to love.

                                                                                                                                                                                                            —Joni Mitchell

I read this quote today on someone’s Facebook page and a better instruction for love, I can’t find. The foremost allegiance is to love itself and this is a pledge you can actually honor, as opposed to the pledge to always love another person, which as anyone who has been in a relationship for more than, say, two weeks, knows is not always possible. Sometimes you feel love and sometimes you don’t. However, acting lovingly is always possible. By this, I don’t mean being sweet and nice all the time. I mean being yourself all the time. All. The. Time. And, even more interesting, inviting your beloved to be herself all the time, too. Looking for a relationship that is based on how much you love each other is a tiny bit short sited. Looking for a relationship with someone who has a capacity for love—for openness, honesty, tenderness, humor, and an ongoing willingness to admit to her own confusion—is an ingenious maneuver. Finding true love isn’t about finding someone who loves you, but someone who is willing to dedicate herself to love; who is open enough to feel what she feels, welcome what you feel, and then, together, hand-in-hand, shoulder-to-shoulder, watch it all go by. For me, a meditation practice, which is the practice of opening, noticing, letting go, and starting over has been the ground, path, and fruition of my own dedication to love.

~ Acceptance of Non-Acceptance ~

May 2, 2011 in TYU

There is no substantiality in what you expect to become a materialized form of a desiring object unless the origin of one’s

mindset genre is highly conditioned or/and is based on its mere possession.

We might suffer addictions and cravings of various natures in terms of things and personal belongings but they have no

meaning other than being completely irrelevant for the very bottom of what’s truly essential.

And all of this becomes even more irrelevant in profiling a person who can be any of us searchers who strive for finding

freedom.

Detachment and non-expectation are two important paths that can lead our way in becoming, beholding and experiencing

more profound Self.

S~He who achieves love and appreciation in life, unconditionally, s~he is the one who can rejoice enlightenment and sense

of completeness as a part of the Whole.

Without this no human soul is capable of reaching whatever stage in life that would be free of promises and expectations.

It is in the core of each one of us to crave for love and appreciation. It is our instinct, our rhythm, the energy that feeds our existence. It is our food, our water and the air …It is what warms up our hearts and brightens up our minds …

It is our high and low, our good and bad, our vice and our virtue, our freedom and imprisonment …our verity …

It is the flesh which fills our very own shell …

What I see hidden behind the curtain of falling of the human spirit short of whatever expectation is the inability to accept non-acceptance.

Accepting non-acceptance is not accepting to not being loved or far more, to not being appreciated.

It is an act of appreciation towards diversity. It is an act of unification of the essentials of the fundamental dualities.

When we picture ourselves in the realm of infinite possibilities we must see ourselves thru the lens of our own projection

respecting at the same time that it exists as one but is functional only as a part of the Whole.

One must realize this for his own sake and for the sake of those who belong to his beautiful Universe as long as there’s the

flow of energies merging in such a profound and such a flawless way.

I must fess up and say that I often see myself as a bystander in the realm of my own projection but with the fact that I am

quite self-aware of that is only giving me the chance for self-retorts and one always fresh commence.

~ Human Tides ~

April 20, 2011 in TYU

It’s in our human nature to be more or less aware of the sentiments we experience during our emotional development in achieving more profound maturity.

There is no such thing as the awakening of the human sense while witnessing the Divine interdependence with another being be it human or some other form of life.

The interconnectedness is the most precious flow of Divine energy which emerges almost always into one deepest form of self-fulfillment and emotional self-realization.

The emotional tide becomes nothing but meaningful embodiment of a feeling nurtured in the beauty of a lifetime journey.

Our emotions are not necessarily consciously chosen nor necessarily and always deliberately created.

There are so many of them present but latent, waiting for their moment of arousal.

There are so many present but forgotten, waiting for the instant to be revived.

Sometimes the sentiments are so colorful and so vivacious that we literally try to hold at bay being afraid of them, instead of finding the right path to their definite exposure and manifestation and not only but an explicit expressiveness that their sensation is what makes us feel alive.

But, whatever form or imaginative shape they might create in becoming an inspiration or incitement of whatever kind they are simply the invincible human tide which gives authenticity of the present moment of each individual. They might increase the pleasure of each moment but they can also bring you so very low.

They are the ebb tide and the high tide in the flow of its magnificence, the human energy, the human beauty, the power of the emotions.

It would be nice to be able to find the horizon between in achieving harmony with the self but it’s impossible.

Our human nature is in synchrony with the Nature which expresses itself through us.

God gave us this beautiful Universe and has gifted us with the most sacred Temple of human body, mind and soul.

I always say: “God gave this beautiful Planet in the hand of the man … and look what he has done with it?!?

I don’t want to ever say:”God gave me this beautiful Temple and look what I have done with it!!!

So I’d rather remain mindful of the preciousness of the emotional tides celebrating and rejoicing the preciousness of

each moment I become aware of the radiant horizon twinkling somewhere in between.

It would only be the Nature celebrating my entrance into the beauty of a peaceful mind.

~ Sublime Supremacy of Love ~

April 16, 2011 in TYU

We might have been led to believe that our most profound capacity in experiencing the beauty of our internal landscape lies in the profound capacity of giving a higher spiritual significance to our lives throughout this never ending process of spiritual growth and refinement we are experiencing as most sacred human quality …

I presume it is quite understandable giving the fact that it depends on turning our senses completely inward gaining the liberty by deliberate conscious creating of a belief system free of all induced and self-induced unconscious habitual patterns.

I believe that it starts as a mere flirt long before achieving the mastery of understanding.

I believe we remain entangled long enough before we start realizing what it truly entails.

I believe it means discovering the harmony within the self and thus follows the responsiveness of ‘the self’ as a part of the whole. Makes sense, isn’t it?

~ The Art~Is~Try of Life ~

January 5, 2011 in TYU

Do we really live our “Positive Lifestyle”?

Do we really enjoy the Fountain of immense possibilities hidden in the very core of one’s self?

Are there only empty words, repetitions, quotations and just an ordinary play of a lousy supporting role into our very own “Life Story”? … or, we are really doing something significant in making our life worth living?

Is our True Personality only an adequate consequence of our not so Clear Intentionality?

Is our Sacred Reality only an adequate consequence of our Deep Personality?

Do You Have What it Takes to Push Up Through the Earth and Bloom Again?

November 25, 2010 in mother earth, TYU

We all know that flowers pushing through the hard earth in order to bloom The blooming in our lives is fabulous but the pushing through the dirt part, while necessary, is not as fun as unfurling our gorgeous petals. There always is a time of death and rebirth, a time of passing. It’s a time where you have to decide if you have the will to bloom again, to become a flower. We have two basic choices. The first is to be to whine and complain about our trying times and to accept defeat. The other is to see the opportunity to plant seeds of renewal. Though most of us will do anything to avoid challenge, discomfort or even the slightest bit of inconvenience, research suggests that people who endure hardship often experience positive growth as a result of such. Some people emerge from adversity with a new lease on life and a greater sense of vitality. They also know how to embrace challenge and discomfort, spinning them into opportunities for personal growth! Saying states that Everything Happens For a Reason but it seems like first we had to get through a very painful experience to have that moment of clarity:
The Universe talks to us even when we are too busy to listen. Fortunately, even when our life is hectic the message still gets through; it just tends to get a little louder and sometimes requires the use of a figurative sledgehammer to get our attention. When we look back, we can all find examples in our own lives, where positive results only came from uncomfortable change. Getting fired from a job, the break up of a relationship, losing money in the market- all may appear to be tragic in the moment, from the limited perspective that we have. But in hindsight, all may bring incredible opportunity and gifts to us.
I wonder, is a painful process necessary in order for us to really learn the lesson? Is getting burned the only way we learn to respect fire and hot ovens? I think the answer is sometimes, yes. But I also believe that there are ways in which we can get across the hot coals with our feet untouched.
